The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, April 21, 2008, of George E. Peters, of Milton Avenue, Summerside, age 96 years. Veteran of the Second World War. Born in Summerside, he was the son of the late Joseph M. and Mary (Arsenault) Peters. Survived by his wife Inez M. (Gallant) Peters; sons Jim (Donna) Peters, Summerside; Tom (Darlene) Peters, Summerside; grandchildren Jennifer (Robbie) Rankin, Laura (Jason Gallant) Peters, Amy (Elliott Olscamp) Peters, Clayton (Jana) Peters, Lincoln Peters; great-grandchildren Jordan and Paige Rankin and by Drake, Isabella and George Gallant. Predeceased by a son George; brothers Augustus, Isaac, Ralph and Laurier; and by sisters Irene Jones, Lillian Gallant and Mabel Peters. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Wednesday, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. only.
