Harry Phillips
The funeral for Harry took place on Dec. 12. We wish to thank Rev. Duncan Roach for the service. Also pallbearers; Kevin Young, Larry (Red) Parr, Kevin Murphy, Pat Bates, Mike McKinnon and Ray Arseneau. Special thanks to Wesley and Danny Cromwell, for doing Harry's favorite songs. We thank the VON, especially Paul and Karen, his palliative care nurse and friend, Beth Latham, who always brightened his day. Many thanks to Dr. Ahmed, Dr. Azir, Dr. Dugas, Dr. Ritter, and Dr. Phil Curry who became our friends. Our gratitude to those who brought food, made donations or spiritual endowments, gave money, came to the funeral home or sent e-mails. Special mention to Elaine, Mary MacNeil, Darlene, Aunt Lucy, Aunt Clara, and Troy Grabher. We thank Harry's family, those who came from away, and those locally for their support. Also thanks to his relatives in Toronto for their own memorial service. Special thanks to Bill Laurie and staff of the Pier Community Funeral Home, who became our extended family. Finally heartfelt thanks to my mom, Florence Fraser and my sister Diane Delaney for feeding everyone and cleaning up. To my sisters Donna and Betty, my brother Jimmy and their spouses, for the love and support.
