SMITH, JUANITA - Juanita Marie (Mooers) Smith, 69, of Woodstock, NB, passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville, NB. Born in Woodstock, NB, on January 19, 1942 daughter of the late Gordon and Adelaide Mooers. Juanita is survived by her sons; Geoff (Tammy), Stephen (Debbie), Trevor (Michelle), grandchildren; Rian, Kerri, Rodney, Carter, Jacob, Cohen, brothers; Doug (Winona), Gordie (Lorna), sister; Elaine (Dick), several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents; Juanita was predeceased by her husband, Bruce Smith, sisters; Margie, Mary, brother; Jack and a nephew Andrew. Juanita was the youngest of seven, and she loved to spend time with family and close friends and enjoyed summers at the family camp with her kids. She retired after 33 years at NBTEL in 1999. By request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will be held in the Woodstock Rural Cemetery at a later date. There will be a reception and a time of remembrance with the family on Wednesday, December 21 from 2 to 4 at St. James United Church Hall 120 Chapel Street Woodstock. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Carleton County Animal Shelter or to a memorial of the donor’s choice.
