At his residence in West Cape on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011 of Erwin Alton Phillips, age 68, beloved husband of Betty Mae (Lewis) Phillips. Born in O'Leary on Aug. 5, 1943, son of the late Earl and Mae (Smallman) Phillips. Dear father to Dwayne (Marie), West Cape. Loving grandfather to Evan, Hanna and Dawson. Erwin is also survived by brother Osborne (Marie) Phillips, O'Leary; sisters, Florence (Verna) Collicutt, Springfield West and Lillian MacLean, Charlottetown; brothers in law: Ralph (Dianne) Lewis, Pennsylvania and Arthur (Frances) Lewis, Howlan. He is also survived by his Aunt Maude MacDonald, O'Leary. Predeceased by his parents, daughter Sheila, sister Irma (Ernie) Wood, brother in law Hedley MacLean and parents in law John and Elsie Mae Lewis. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O'Leary with visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at O'Leary United Church. Interment will follow in the Knutsford Cemetery. In memory of Erwin, memorials to Knutsford Cemetery, Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
