Anthony James Rogers 1914 – 2011
We, the family of the late Anthony Rogers, known as “Tony the Milkman”, regret to announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre on December 19, 2011. Anthony was an avid hockey fan, loved company and a good game of cards. He leaves to mourn his wife, Joan; daughters, Cynthia (Jeff) Snow, Michelle (Shawn) Goodyear; grandchildren, Chantelle and Cody Snow, Emma and Jack Goodyear; as well as a large circle of friends. Visitation took place at Central Funeral Homes. Father William Hearn conducted a Funeral Mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on December 21, 2011. Pallbearers were son-in-law, Jeff Snow and Shawn Goodyear, and friends, Edward Reid, William Houlihan, Bill Dwyer and Dr. Neil Harvey. Honorary pallbearer was Don Baird. Donations in Anthony’s memory may be made to the Autism Society of NL. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Michael Goodyear of Central Funeral Homes.
