The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, November 15, 2009, of Mr. Frederick J. (Fred) Coffin of Charlottetown, age 68 years.
Dear father of James (Alicia) Coffin of Kingston, Ont., and John (Jenn) Freeman of Oregon, U.S.A. He is also survived by brothers and sisters, William \"Billy\" (Millie Murley) Coffin, Mary Mullen, Ann (Victor) Baldwin, Marion (Allen) MacPhee, George (Koren) Coffin, and Theresa (Allan) Trainor; two loving grandchildren, Luke and Gracie; sister-in-law, Marlene Coffin; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Matilda (Evans) Coffin; brother, Regis; and brother-in-law, Ivan Mullen.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until Wednesday afternoon, then transferred to St. Andrew\'s Church, Mount Stewart, for funeral mass at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in the family plot in the parish cemetery.
If so desired, memorial contributions in Fred\'s memory may be made to the P.E.I. Cancer Treatment Centre or the Salvation Army.
