LeBLANC, CHARLES - The death of Charles LeBlanc, loving husband of Shirley (McKiel) LeBlanc, occurred unexpectedly on Wednesday December 21, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1935 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Louis and Dina (Power) LeBlanc. Charles worked in construction for many years retiring in 1991; he was an avid hunter and fisherman. Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons Terry LeBlanc and Tony Burke both of Alberta; daughters Diane Price and Susan LeBlanc also of Alberta and Tracy Mason of Saint John; eight stepchildren; brother Raymond (Charlotte) LeBlanc of Saint John; sisters Doris Saulnier and Geraldine MacDonald both of Saint John; 28 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sons Bobby, Brian and Bruce; brothers Peter, Gerald and LeRoy; sisters Margie and Rena.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). By request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery on Friday December 23, 2011 at 2 pm. A reception will follow at Fundy Funeral Home.
