In loving memory of Roy Samuel Carter, Scotia #1, Bell Island, born May 31, 1932, Great Brehat, NL, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2008 after a battle with cancer. Roy was born in Great Brehat, N.L. and was the son of the late George and Mable Carter and the brother of the late Frederick Carter and brother to sister Annie May Critch of Cavendish. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, who will be deeply missed. The family would like to sincerely thank the doctors and all the wonderful nursing staff that crossed our paths over the last three months for their professional care and compassion at the Health Sciences Centre and Dr. Leonard A. Miller Centre. A special thank you as well to the many family and friends who supported us at this difficult time. A Memorial Service to celebrate Roy's life will be held at St. Cyprian's Anglican Church, Main Street, Bell Island on Thursday, February 28, 2008 at 2 p.m. Roy's family will receive relatives and friends after the service at St. Michaels Hall on Bell Island.
