November 6, 1932 - December 21, 2011. Passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at James Peyton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Vera Brace of Lewisporte, age 79 years. Her parents, Ronald and Bessie Cuff of Carmanville, her only brother Lawson Philip Cuff, and brothers-in-law Clyde Hicks and Winston Ginn predeceased her. Left to mourn are her husband Philip; sons: Alister, Alton (Dona), Ronald (Denise); and daughter Diane (Ben Goodyear); grandchildren (in chronological order): Jasmin Brace (Scottie Downey), Philip Brace Jr., Jared Brace, Caitlin Brace, Alison Goodyear, Jenny Brace, Cassandra Brace and great-granddaughter Scarlett; also sisters: Isabel Hicks and Lena Ginn; brothers-in-law: Kenneth Brace (Sheila) and John Green (Ina); special friend Dorcas Rowe as well as a large number of family and friends. Resting at Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, Lewisporte. Public visitation on Thursday, December 22, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Salvation Army Citadel, Lewisporte, at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 23 at 2 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Cancer Clinic, James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, or to a charity of one’s choice.
