Passed peacefully away with her daughters at her side, on December 20th, 2011, Joan Marie Clarke, age 68 years. Predeceased by her husband Harris, parents Augustus and Madeline Fanning, her brothers: Bill and Cyril Fanning and her infant grandson Nicholas Blagdon. Leaving to mourn with broken hearts and cherished memories, her two daughters: Michele (Ray Dillon) and Andrea (Jeff Blagdon) and three precious granddaughters whom Nanny loved very dearly, Megan and Erin Dillon and Anna Blagdon. Also leaving to mourn her sister Barbara Gibbons (Calgary) and brother Gus Fanning, and a large circle of family and friends. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of the Health Sciences Centre for their kindness and compassion to Joan and our family during her brief illness. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., on Wednesday from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m., on Thursday from 2 p.m.- 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.- 9 p.m. Funeral service 11 a.m. on Friday, December 23rd, 2011, from Wesley United Church. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Joan’s memory may be made to the Janeway Children’s Hospital.
