WIRVIN, BRIAN MICHAEL - Brian Michael Wirvin of Wolfville, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Winnipeg, he was a son of the late Joseph and Suzanne (Kennedy) Wirvin. He had been employed as an accountant, retiring from Investor’s Group, Kentville. He enjoyed travelling, spending time with family and had a passion for golf. He was a member of the Ken-Wo Golf and Country Club as well as St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Wolfville. He is survived by his wife, Patricia “Pat” (Bezanson) (Wallace); children, Michael (Lori), Boston; Brian (Darlene), Montreal; Christopher (Carolyn), Halifax; Rebecca Wallace, Greenwich; two sisters, Bernadette Mousseau, Winnipeg; Barb (Marino) Doghini, Burnaby, British Columbia; three brothers, Frank (Joyce), Winnipeg; Joseph (Frances), Ottawa; Dennis, Winnipeg; grandchildren, Kate, Liam, Hannah, Jack and Ryan; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Theresa (Brown).
There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2011 in St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Wolfville, Father Larry Pitcher officiating. Burial will take place in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Kentville. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in memory may be made to The Lodge That Gives.
