She has fought a good fight, she has finished her course, she has made a better place for her children and grandchildren. Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family on December 20, 2011. Predeceased by husband, Gordon (Rocky) Highmore; brothers: Art, Jim and Dick (Marie). Leaving to mourn sons: Edward ‘Ned” (Cecilia), Gordon (Vivienne); daughter, Wanda (Hazen); granddaughters: Kerri (Graham), Brenda (Jonathan), Kristy and Little Darcy; sisters-in-law: Marie, Phyllis, Irene, Jean, Mary (John), Venus and Viola (Mak). Visitation took place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater St. John’s, NL on Thursday, December 22 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral service from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
