We, the family of the late Mary Boutilier, wish to express our heartfelt thanks and deepest appreciation to all who gave their love, friendship and support during the recent loss of our mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. To Father Leo Boone who administered the sacrament of the sick, your blessings helped to lighten our darkest days. To Chaplin Mary Lou MacDougall and Sister Sylvia Bellfontane, thank you for your prayers, guidance and encouragement to each of us during such a difficult time. To Father Andrew Gillies, thank you for your message of faith and words of encouragement during the visitation and the funeral Mass to commemorate our loved one’s life. To Eugene McMahon, St. James Choir and Mario Colosimo – thank you for your gift of beautiful music during the funeral Mass, it will always be a treasured memory. To reader Karl White and Camie Rouleau and Dennette Saccary thank you for your special readings and presentation of the Offertory Gifts. To pallbearers Francis Saccary, Bryan Boutilier, Bert Coffin, Greg Boutilier, Raymond Ward and Paul Ward, altar server Billy MacKinnon and Eucharistic minister Eric Boutilier, thank you for honoring our mother by your special acts of participation. To St. James Ladies Auxiliary, thank you for preparing and serving the lovely reception lunch following the funeral Mass. To Dr. Kent Cadegan and Brenda for your kindness and compassion over the years and especially during our Mother’s recent illness, we are truly greatful. Thank you to Dr. Ron MacCormick, Dr. Clay Butler, Palliative Care, Billy MacPherson and Nursing Staff 3rd Floor, Glace Bay General Hospital as well as the many other health professionals for the care and dignity shown to our Mother and our family. To our neighbors, family, friends and community – your letters, flowers, sympathy cards, Mass Cards, memorial and monetary donations, phone calls, e-mails and visits at home and at the hospital were genuinely appreciated. Thank you for your many kind words and for sharing your special memories, they will always be a treasure to each of us. To those who sent such an abundance of food to the hospital and to our homes and to those who travelled to be with us we truly thank you for your caring and sharing with us. Her good character and kindness of her heart was reflected in your many acts of kindness and generosity to our family. Thank you to Ken MacGillivray and staff of MacGillivray Funeral Home, Glace Bay for the dignity, reverence and guidance given to us during this most difficult time. To Rita Tompkins and Emilo Vannetti your kind words, thoughtful acts and compassion were very comforting to each of us and will always be a fond memory of respect to our Mother.
To all who shared our sorrow and great loss – “whatever you did to console our hearts, we thank you so much whatever the part.”
