Phyllis Madeline Miller, 83, a resident of Victoria Haven Nursing Home, passed away Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at the Glace Bay Hospital.
Born in Wolfville, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Florence (Spencer) Jessop.
Devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Joan (Lonnie) Goodwin, Yarmouth, Sandra (Barry) Furlotte and Gail Oldham, both of Halifax; sons, Jack (Jean), Sackville, David (Mary), Glace Bay, and Paul (Clair), Truro; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Gordon, Edmonton.
Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, Charles, grandson, John Oldham, sisters, Gladys, Hilda and Clara, brothers, Frederick, Clarence and Alden.
A graveside service will take place 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 26 at Hardwoodlands Cemetery, Hants County, Rev. Lloyd Ripley officiating.
The family would like to thank Dr. Gordon Spencer, New Waterford Home Care and the staff at Victoria Haven and the Glace Bay Hospital.
