WINTER, Wilson Amor – On December 17, 2011 after a brave battle with cancer, Wilson Amor Winter, age 74 years of Badger’s Quay passed peacefully away at Brookfield Hospital surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Nita Winter, sisters: Sadie, Laura, brothers: Job and infant brother. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Evelyn; two daughters: Lorna (Jeff Carter) of Badger’s Quay, Lisa (Rod Collins) of Cold Lake, Alberta; seven brothers: Warwick (Helen) of Badger’s Quay, Claude (Myrtle) of Badger’s Quay, Clayton (Winnie) of Badger’s Quay, Jack (Joan) of Valleyfield, Harvey (Eva) of Scarborough, Ont, Job (Penny) of St. John’s, Bill (Stella) of Badger’s Quay; two sisters: Margaret (Absolom Matthews) of Guelph, Ont, Bernice (Art Melindy) of Gander; three grandchildren: Noah and Nikiata Carter, Olivia Collins and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. Funeral service took place on December 20, 2011 at St. Alban’s Anglican Church, Badger’s Quay with Rev. John Nicolle officiating. Interment followed at St. Alban’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Badger’s Quay. Donations in his memory may be made to Gander Cancer Clinic or to St. Alban’s Anglican Church, Badger’s Quay.
