The death occurred peacefully at the Kings County Memorial Hospital on Thursday December 22, 2011 of William C. MacKenzie of Beach Point. Age 67. Loving husband of Ida (Collier). Beloved father of Robert (Shawna) Gander, NL, and Michael (Kari) Colorado, USA. Cherished grandfather to Timothy and Daniel. Loving remembered by special daughter Rosalie Glover. Survived by mother Ada E. MacKenzie; brothers and sisters Harold (Adeline), Nellie (Cecil) Rattray, Joyce Gordon, James, and Guy (Gail); brother-in-law Earle Richards and Grant Buchanan and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by father Chester MacKenzie; sister Elizabeth (Bessie) Richards; father & mother-in-law Charlie and Elsie Collier; sister-in-laws Carmen (Bud) MacDonald, Carolyn Buchanan and a niece and nephew. Resting at Southern Kings & Queens Funeral Home, Murray River for visitation on Monday, December 26, 2011 from 6-9pm. Funeral service to be held from the Murray Harbour Church of Christ, Murray Harbour on Tuesday December 27, 2011 at 3pm. Interment in Murray Harbour Cemetery. In lieu of flowers (due to allergies), donations gratefully accepted to “Baby Dexter MacConnell” of Georgetown or Maritime Christian College.
