On Monday, November 16, 2009, Ron passed away peacefully with his family by his side.
Ron is survived by his loving wife June, son Michael (Leanne) and grandsons Jackson and Joshua; daughter Allison (Michael) Mackeage and grandaughter Ireland. Ron is also survived by his mother Mary Belbin; brothers Bob (Patti), Barry (Robyn); sister Julie (Sheean) Nelson, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by his father Roy Belbin. Ron was an active member of both the Canadian Professional Golfers Association and the PGA of Alberta for over 40 years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute of Alberta. A Celebration of Ron's Life will be held on Friday, November 20, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Connelly-McKinley Sherwood Park-Millwoods Chapel (4820 Meridian Street, Edmonton).
