Mildred G. Wambolt (Millie), 90, Truro. It is with great sadness the family of Mildred announces her passing on Saturday, December 24, 2011, at the Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Mildred was born January 10, 1921, and was a daughter of the late Gideon and Mary (Whynot) Weagle, of Lapland, Lunenburg County, NS. In 1938 Mildred married her long time friend, Theodore Wambolt. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. They moved to Dartmouth where they raised four children; Mrs. Barbara (Leo, deceased) Connolly, Truro, Terry (Barbara), Truro, Brian (Linda), Dartmouth, Larry (Donna), Bridgewater; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Theodore in 1989, after 51 years of marriage; sister Josephine; brother Paul.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 28th from 2-4 and 6-8 and funeral service Thursday December 29th, at 3 pm, all in the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Mrs. Jacqueline Ross will officiate with a reception to follow in the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date in Watson Cemetery, Truro. Family flowers only.
