DEAS, ETHEL MAY - Ethel May Deas, wife of the late Bernard Nelson Deas passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, December 26, 2011 at the Kennebec Manor Nursing Home. Born 1926 in East Royalty, PEI she was the daughter of the late Leslie Hustis and Ethel Gertrude (Tarpy) Roper. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by her brothers Arthur Roper, Leslie Roper, Clifford Roper and George Roper; sister Winnifred Walker; and grandson James Colpitts. Ethel was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church; she will be sadly missed by her family. She is survived by her sons Bernard Deas (Edwina) of Saint John, George Deas (Margaret) of Saint John and Robert Deas (Flor de Maria) of BC; daughters Alice Homer (Bruce) of PEI, Ruth Stuart (Donald) of Quispamsis and Nancy Lea Legge (Bruce) of Australia; 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
By Ethel's request there will be no visitations or funeral service. Donations in memory of Ethel made to the Kennebec Manor Inc. or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
