Marion Lila Gallant, age 92, cherished wife of the late Clarence Gallant of Mayfield, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at Perrin's Clinton View Lodge on Thursday, May 1, 2008. She was the last surviving member of 13 children born to Stanislaus and Delphine Doiron of Cavendish. Marion is survived by eight children: Gordon (Pearl), Harvey (Bernadette), Vernon (Jeannie), Bernice Doiron, Louise (Elmer) Doiron, Kathleen Hughes, Cody, Gary (Marlene), daughter-in-law Noel Ruelland; 33 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by three sons, Charlie, Walter and Erwin; a daughter, Shirley; sons-in-law, Martin Doiron and Terry Hughes; daughter-in-law, Bridie Gallant; grandsons, Danny Doiron and Clarence Gallant; and granddaughter, Barbara Gallant. Resting at Central Queen's Funeral Home, New Glasgow, for visitation Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Anne's Church, Hope River Monday at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
