Lavinia Bishop MacLeod
At the QEII Health Sciences Centre in Halifax on Saturday, December 24, 2011, of Lavinia Bishop MacLeod.
Born at Murray River, Prince Edward Island, she was the only daughter of the late Ernest and Jennie (MacLean) MacLeod. She was a retiree of the Public Trustee Office, Province of Nova Scotia with over 20 years of service. She was noted as being well-organized and having an eye for detail. She valued close to her heart her little dog, Taffy, and always had doggie treats for canine visitors. She was predeceased by her younger brother, Ernst MacLeod and nephew, MacLeod and is survived by her older brother John, his wife, Helen (Glover) MacLeod, sister-in-law, Olga (Beck) MacLeod, nephews, Loyn MacLeod, Dale (Marie) MacLeod, nieces, Debbie (Peter) Parsons, Donna (Peter) Studley, Marsha (Allan) Dares and Sheila (Ron) Bourque. The MacLeod family would like to thank the staff of Neurology and the eighth floor QEII. Also, a special thanks to Sheila Pilot, Donna Duggan and Les Seebold.
Resting at Ferguson's Montague Chapel, from where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Interment in the Murray River Cemetery. Visitation: Thursday 1 p.m. until time of service. If so desired, memorials to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the SPCA would be appreciated. www.fergusonsfh.com
