It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Leonard Anthony Maxwell on Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at home.
Born in Glace Bay, Anthony was the son of Annette Maxwell and Leonard Maxwell.
He was a graduate of Glace Bay High School and attended NSCC. Anthony took much pleasure in playing ball, hockey, golf and being with his friends and family.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his sister, Andree Michelle; grandmothers, Valda Maxwell and Dolores Andrews; aunts, Francine, Itsy, Gail, Paula, Marlene, Darlene and uncle Buddy Maxwell; many cousins and friends.
Anthony was predeceased by his grandfathers, Lawson Maxwell and Booie Andrews.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 30th, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Curry’s Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay. A Funeral Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday, December 31st, at 11 a.m. in Holy Cross Church with Rev Norman MacPhee officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, MacLeod’s Crossing.
