BRANSCOMBE, PASTOR HARRY A. - 1917-2011 - Harry Arthur Branscombe of Chipman, NB went to be with his Lord on December 28, 2011 at the age of 94. He was the son of Nathaniel and Rebecca (Higgins) Branscombe. Pastor Branscombe was predeceased by his wife of 63 years Vera (Kadey) Branscombe in 1999, his sister Helen Calabrese in 2011 and two grandsons Michael Branscombe in 1995 and Anthony Branscombe in 1997. He leaves his second wife Yvonne(Chase) Branscombe of Chipman, NB; daughter, Linda (Don) Charters of St. Stephen, NB; son Daryl (Angela Maddox) Branscombe of Fredericton, NB ; son Dana (Debra) Branscombe of Mississauga, ON; two grandchildren, Victoria (Ron) Taylor of Toronto, ON and Jonathan (Wendi) Charters of Calais, ME; four great grandchildren; Gabriel, Olivia and Caleb Taylor of Toronto, ON and Marissa Charters of Grand Manan, NB; two nieces, Pam MacLean of Antigonish, NS and Sandra (Gary) Hallett of Douglas, NB; one brother, Kenneth(Ruth) Branscombe of Sussex, NB. His passion for spreading the word of God took him to various churches in New Brunswick as Pastor of; Jemseg and surrounding area, Lincoln, Hampton, Sussex and finally back to Chipman where he served the Salmon Creek church until he was 90 years of age. Pastor Branscombe was the founder of the “Truth for Today” radio ministry that was broadcasted for several years throughout central and southern New Brunswick.
Visitation will take place at Bishops Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, on Friday, December 30th from 2 to 4 P.M. and 7 to 9 P.M. Funeral service will be held at the Chipman 2nd United Baptist Church on Saturday, December 31st at 2:00 P.M.
