KLEIN – Ed (Spike) 1932-2011. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother. Ed passed away suddenly the morning of December 28, 2011. Ed was born in Grayson, SK in 1932 and spent his early years there. His family moved to Ontario where Ed worked various jobs. His family moved back to Regina where he worked for Sasktel. On October 14, 1957, he married Adeline Pitre in Wolseley, SK. Ed and Adeline and family moved to Swift Current in 1974. Ed retired from South Sask. Pipeline in May 1992. Ed was an avid sports fan and took part in many. His greatest joy was his grandchildren and their accomplishments. Ed will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Adeline of 54 years; son Brad (Karen), Kaitlyn, Shelby and Janesa; daughter Michele (Greg), Dylan, Kris, Brittany and Duncan; son Curt (Pam), Adrina and daughter Debbie (Jeff), Stevie and Mac. He will be fondly remembered by his siblings, Tom (Helen) Klein, Lil Fedor, Mary (Mervin) Kohut and Mervin (Donna) Klein and his sister-in-law Margaret Pitre, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Ed was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Evelyn Klein, his in-laws, Alphonse and Romanie Pitre (DeDecker) and Evo DeDecker; brothers-in-law Bob Fedor and Edwin Pitre. A Celebration of Ed’s life took place on Monday, January 2, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Christ The Redeemer Roman Catholic Church with Father James Owolagba officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Swift Current Broncos Memorial Fund Box 2345 Swift Current, SK S9H 4X6 or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan 279 3rd Ave. N.
