Passed in: Saskatchewan, Canada

Livadney, Nick
Nick Livadney was born in Assiniboia, SK on June 27th, 1921, and passed to rest in Moose Jaw on Nov 19th, 2009. Nick spent the major part of his life farming in the Readlyn, SK district. In his youth he found the Saskatchewan winters a bit too cold and long so he spent many winter months in California, where he made use of his excellent carpenter skills. Upon retiring in Moose Jaw, he traveled to Russia a number of times, fulfilling his life-long dream of assisting in building churches in the Ukraine. Nick was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Dena Livadney, his brother Edward Livadney, and sisters Irene Mackay and Alice Timothy. He is survived by his sister Esther (Clifford) Gardiner of Peachland, British Columbia, and brother Wilfred (Alice) Livadney of Harrah, Oklahoma, as well as a number of nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the staff at Extendicare, Capilano Court and Providence Place for their kindness and care of Nick during the last years of his life. Special thanks to Bill and Jean Johnston for befriending Nick and for all the help that they have been to him over the years. A Graveside Service will be held at Sunset Cemetery on Monday, November 23rd, 2009 at 10:30 am. There will be a reception immediately following at Parkview Funeral Chapel, 474 Hochelaga St W, Moose Jaw.
