LEGERE, VERNA MAE (nee JOHNSTON) - 1935-2011 - Mae Legere, beloved wife of Kenneth Legere, of Cape Tormentine, died Thursday, December 29, 2011 as a result of a motor vehicle accident at the age of 76. Born May 3, 1935 in Drayton, Ontario, Mae was a daughter of the late William Sinclair Johnston and Verna Viola Cross. She is survived by Ken, her husband of 54 years; and sons, Terry (Linda), of Rockland, Ontario, Todd (Nancy), of Fredericton and Tim (Ellen), of Ajax, Ontario; and grandchildren, Sandy, Liz, Quinn, Marcus, Mike and Jodi. Also survived by sister, Jeannie; and brothers, Gordon (Florence) and Bob (Leanice). Mae will also be missed by numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mae was predeceased by a stillborn child.
Cremation has been arranged under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, Port Elgin (538-2241). A Celebration of Life to be held at a later date to be announced.
