LEWIS, HELEN - 1925-2011 - It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our mother, Helen Lewis, who passed away peacefully on Friday, December 30, 2011 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Hamilton, ON, raised in Minto, NB, she was the daughter of the late William and Meleda Meyers. Helen will be sadly missed by her four sons, Bobby (Jill), Billy (Stella), Stewart (Suzanne) and Larry (Eddie); seven daughters, Betty Jeffery (Bob), Barbara Morrison (Bernie), Rachel Doucet, Lynn Leger (Paul), Evelyn Doucet (Jean-Paul), Carol McLaughlin (Derek) and Karen Dupuis; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and by her little dog, Rosie. She is also survived by three brothers; as well as by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Helen was predeceased by her husband, Herbert; three brothers; one sister; and her son-in-law, Edgar Doucet.
Visitation will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A private grave side service will be held at Fairhaven Memorial Gardens on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 1 pm. Donations in Helen's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or to a charity of the donor's choice.
