Peacefully at the Western Hospital on Sunday, May 4,2008, with her family by her side, of Marion Jane McCarthy, of the W.J.Phillips Residence, Alberton, and formerly of Brockton, age 81 years. Beloved wife of James McCarthy. Born Sept. 30,1927, she was the daughter of the late W.B and Mary Ann (nee McIntyre) MacLellan. Loving mother to Coleen (Grant) O'Halloran of New Market, Ont.; James (Linda) McCarthy of Elmsdale; Gary (Eileen) McCarthy of Elmsdale; and Phalen (Twila) McCarthy of Alberton. Cherished grandmother to Jason, Scott, Christine, Patti, Robert, Jennifer, Andrew, Jade, Shealee and Brock. Great-grandmother to Lindsay, Tyler, Carter, Austin, Sarah and Jake. She is also survived by two sisters and one brother, Lucy Kinch of Boston; Doris White of Florida; and Lemuel (Norma) MacLellan of Elmsdale. She was predeceased by sisters and brothers Jack, Claude, Carl, Ray, Irving, Anna O'Brien, Millie Shea and Esther O'Brien. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Wednesday at a time to be announced later. Interment in St.Mark's Cemetery, Burton Lot 7.
