CAMERON, NANCY JOAN - 1959-2012 - Nancy Joan Cameron, 52, of Hillsborough passed away on Monday, January 2nd, 2012 at the Moncton Hospital with her loving family by her side. Nancy was born in Moncton on July 6th, 1959 the daughter of Blair and Joan (Barron) Cameron. She attended the Hillsborough United Church. Nancy worked at METS (Moncton Employment & Training Services) in Moncton for years made special friendships with some of her co-workers. She was a very special person who loved music and shopping. Nancy's sisters took her on many shopping bus tours which she thoroughly enjoyed. She also had a special love of animals and had a special place in her heart for her little dog "Kiwi" who was her gem. She enjoyed being outdoors, special moments like driving on back of the four wheeler and in the dune buggy she fondly remembered. You could often find Nancy taking walks with Kiwi. She was a very special person who had many challenges over the years but conquered them all with her great attitude. The family felt Nancy was a true blessing and inspiration to them all, she will live on in their hearts forever. She will be deeply missed by her parents, Blair and Joan Cameron of Hillsborough; brother, Jimmy Cameron (Paula) of Prosser Brook; sisters, Cindy Cameron (Richard Brewster) of Dawson Settlement, Shelley Milton (Doug) of Hillsborough, Bonnie Cameron (Danny Steeves) of Hillsborough, Amy Cameron-Dupuis (Pat) of Pine Glen; Karen Steeves of Moncton (who was like a sister); her special Aunt Mary and good friend Sheila Snider. She will also be missed by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
The family will be meeting with relatives and friends for a time of sharing memories and reminiscing at the Albert County Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9pm. A Memorial Service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Thursday, January 5th, 2012 at 2:00pm with Rev. Carol Mullin officiating. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery where she will be laid to rest by her Nanny Cameron. For those who wish donations to the Kidney Foundation or the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital- Dialysis Dept. would be greatly appreciated by the family.
