March 2, 1930 - January 1, 2012. Vince passed away peacefully at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home in the loving embrace of his family and is now united for eternity with his wife, Lizzie, who passed away August 18, 2011. Left to mourn are his son Gary and wife Cheryl; daughter Janet and husband Andy Warren; and daughter Roseann. He will be especially missed by his grandchildren: Emily Warren, Stephen Ryan, Peter Warren, Amanda Ryan, Elizabeth Penney, Ryan Penney and Keith Warren. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and cousins of the Ryan and Greene families. His friends will hold memories of a man who was devoted to his family, his church and his community. He endeared himself to everyone with his kindness and his gentle humour. He had a great attachment to the land and sea and he treated them with the utmost of respect for all they provided. Visitation will take place at Maher’s Funeral Home in Placentia on Monday, January 2nd, 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm, as well as 10 am on Tuesday, January 3rd. Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church in Placentia at 2 pm on January 3rd.
