Frank Blair
BLAIR, FRANK EDWARD - The passing of Frank Edward Blair of McAdam, NB occurred on Monday, January 2, 2012, he was 82. Born in Honeydale, NB, he was a son of the late Douglas and Bessie (McLaughlin) Blair. Baptist by faith and member of the Rockland Drive United Baptist Church in McAdam, and worked for CP Rail for over forty years until retiring at age 55, he was also active with Meals on Wheels, a member of the IOOF Lodge, on the board of directors at the McAdam Credit Union and was also quite an avid fiddle player. Survived by two daughters, Teresa May Johnstone (Joe) of Waasis, NB, Rachel Vina Blair (Benny) of McAdam, NB, one son Alan Frank Blair of McAdam, NB, three sisters Florence Colwell (David) of Grand Bay, NB, Doris Lustig (Allan) of Waterville, NB, Dena Camp (Greg) of Fredericton, NB, one brother George Blair (Jeannette) of Saint John, NB, two stepdaughters Connie Johnson (Jerry) and Diane Moore (Terry) all of McAdam, NB, one stepson Leo Barrieault of McAdam, NB, 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife Beverley (Thornton) Blair, his second wife Regina (Barrieault) Blair, one son Zane Blair, one daughter Cindy Elizabeth Blair, two brothers and four sisters.
No visitation by family request. A memorial service will held at the Rockland Drive United Baptist Church, 32 Rockland Drive in McAdam, NB, on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 2 PM with Pastor Scott Kohler officiating. Interment will follow in the Rockland Cemetery, McAdam NB. Contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
