The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, of Doreen Kelly of Andrews of Summerside, aged 87 years. Born in Millview, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Winnifred (Brown) Grant. Survived by her eight children: Ron, Charlottetown; Anne, Hermosa Beach, California; Bob (Marie), Port Hope, Ont.; Patty (Barry) Richard, Summerside; Kathy (Gerry) Laughlin, Summerside; Paula Kelly (Tilmon Pineau), Summerside; Grant (Gail), Oshawa, Ont.; and Jim, Toronto, Ont.; 13 grandchildren: Jason (Rachelle) Kelly, Stratford; Nathan Kelly (Martine d'Entremont) Charlottetown; Tara Kelly (Davey Best), Charlottetown; Nyall (June) Kelly, Cornwall; Nicole Kelly, Vancouver, B.C.; Ian Kelly, Port Hope, Ont.; Jillian (Jeff) Mahar, Emerald; Jordan Richard, Moncton, N.B.; Mike (Jantina) Laughlin, Summerside; Jeff Laughlin (Miranda Gallant), Summerside; Sean Pineau, Summerside; Brett Pineau, Summerside; Sarah Kelly-Jackson (Aaron Jackson), Bentonville, Arkansas; and by seven great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband, Gordon Kelly; brothers, Frank, Victor, Walter, and Arthur Grant; sisters, Ruth Crane, Ann McKenna, Mary MacInnis, Ethel Glenn, Rose Grant, and Rita Grant; and by her special nephew, Leo McKenna. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Wednesday, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. Memorial donations to the Hospice Palliative Care Association of P.E.I. or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
