Delores Elizabeth Poulette of Eskasoni passed away on Jan. 2, 2012, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born in Sydney, she was a daughter of the late Noel and Helen (Googoo) Francis.
Elizabeth worked with her husband for many years hunting and fishing. She enjoyed all of nature.
She is survived by her husband, Howard; daughters, Connie (Elton), Darlene (Simon), Pamela, Madelaine and Shannon; “sons”, Peter, Rodney (Joanne) and John; sisters, Annie Jane, Eskasoni, Genevieve, Whycocomagh, Shirley Francis, Eskasoni; brothers, Edmund and Charles Francis, both of Eskasoni; grandchildren, Sijij, Hailee, Rossieboy, Kady, Kandy, Sasheen, Mark, Shawn, Tyren, Cayson, Lleyton, Bailee, Ada, Libbie, Abby, Maria; great-grandchild, Alyssa; several nieces, nephews and very special friends; godchildren, Mary Charlotte, Len Scott, Courtney, Chuck and Carolann.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents, Noel and Helen Francis, sister, Mary Theresa Denny, brother, Frankie Francis and one child in infancy.
Visitation for the late Mrs. Poulette will start after 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5 at 233 Shore Rd., Eskasoni. A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, Jan. 7 at 10:30 am at Holy Family Church, Eskasoni, Rev. Martin MacDougall will officiate. Interment in parish cemetery.
