March 18, 1918 – December 26, 2011

Passed away peacefully in the presence of her family at her home at Christenson Village in Gibsons BC.

Louise was born on March 18, 1918 and was raised on a farm in Ontario. She trained as a nurse and went overseas as a Nursing Sister with the Canadian Forces during WW II serving for 5 years in England, Africa and Italy. She married Dr. John Balfour in September, 1944 and lived in Vancouver until their retirement to Roberts Creek in 1976.
Louise is survived by her five children, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at the Christian Life Assembly Church at 730 School Road in Gibsons.
