Marjorie passed away peaceful at Shorncliffe in Sechelt, B.C. on December 22, 2011. She will be missed by her daughters Jean (Bryan), Elaine (Bill) and son Sandy (Moira)., Also left with fond memories are her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one sister and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Jack in 1995, son Douglas in 1984 and grandson Travis Cripps in 1998.
On September 24, 1913 Marjorie was born in California. At age 3 her family returned to Alberta where she grew up on a farm near Calgary. She was a teacher in a one room school by age 18. Marjorie and Jack were married in 1940. In 1942 they moved to the coast. After a year in a Toba Inlet logging camp they moved to a small dairy farm in Roberts Creek where they remained for the rest of their days.
The family will be forever grateful for the support and care given to Marjorie by the Christiansen Village, Totem Lodge and most recently, Shorncliffe staff.

Marjorie's family will welcome friends to join us for a memorial tea to be held at Elaine and Bill's home, 6283 Baillie Rd., Sechelt at 2pm on January 14, 2012.
