Her family is saddened to announce the passing of Mary Alice McCormick, George Street, Sydney (formerly of Glace Bay), on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, after a short illness.
Born in Glace Bay, Mary was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mabel (Bond) McCormick.
Mary is survived by her sister, Hazel Sherwood, Sydney; brother, Roy (Rose) McCormick, Glace Bay; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister, Cleo Ralph and brothers, Almer, Jackie and Paul.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Friday 12-2 p.m., followed by a service in the chapel at 2 p.m., with Rev. Laura McCue officiating. Interment in Ferguson Cemetery, Mira.
