The family of John W. Brine are deeply saddened to announce his sudden passing, November 3, 2009 at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, P.E.I. Born in Glace Bay, N.S., July 29, 1932, John was the son of the late Robert and Clara (Morgan) Brine. In earlier years, he was a Miner. Then served 25 years with the Canadian Armed Forces. Upon retirement settled in Charlottetown P.E.I. with family and was employed with Parks Canada for 10 years and later with Island Tours. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Shirley (Avery) formerly of Glace Bay, sons R.C.M.P. Superintendent Gary (Sandy), Chilliwack, B.C. and Bruce (Marie), Charlottetown, sister Florence (Arthur) Wadden, Glace Bay, grandchildren Meghan and Brandon, B.C. and Tanner and Aiden, P.E.I. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Belvedere Funeral Home, Charlottetown P.E.I. Interment to take place at a later date.
