Cock, David Randall, 70, of Truro, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 4, 2011. Born in Perron, Quebec, he was a son of the late William and Verna (Tucker) Cock. Dave enjoyed reading, watching TV, hockey, golf and traveling. He worked construction all his working life, the last 35 years with Municipal Construction in Bedford NS. He is survived by his common law wife the former Glenna (Berglund) Barron; daughters, Donna Lewis, Crowes Mills, Kathy Lobban, Truro; brothers, Dennis (Marilyn), BC, Donald (Glenda) and Darrell (Debbie) both of Great Village; sister, Donna (Royce), Debert; grandchildren, Trevor, Brittany, Samantha, Stephanie; great grandson, Keidan; his companion, Maggie. By Dave’s request there will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held 2pm today, January 6, in the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street Truro, with Rev. Donna Lawrence officiating. Interment to be held at a later date in the Middle Road Cemetery in Debert. Family flowers only. Donations in Dave’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.
