Passed peacefully away in the presence of his family after a short battle with cancer at the Health Sciences Complex on Sunday, November 22, 2009, David Collins, aged 68 years. Leaving to mourn his loving wife and best friend of 45 years Judy (nee Holloway); son Paul (Karen); daughter Tanya Haywood (Richard); beloved grandsons: Nicholas and Joshua Collins and Jack and Ethan Haywood; mother Trixie Savage; brother Gary Savage (Lisa); father-in-law Alonzo Holloway (Olive deceased); brothers-in-law: Lloyd (Catherine), Don (Aline), Wayne (Phyllis), Gary (Jos), Glenn (Mary); sisters-in-law: Mary Holloway (Dave deceased), Joan Monk (Cless), Carol Lawrence (Dave), Gail Day (Wayne), Cheryl Ralph (Dave deceased), Linda Howell (Barry); as well as many nieces, nephews, close relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Tuesday, November 24th from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, November 25th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. James United Church on Thursday, November 26th at 2 p.m. Interment to take place at a later date.
