Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer at the L.A. Miller Centre on Sunday, November 22, 2009, Marie Hurley, aged 76 years. Predeceased by her husband Louis, parents Bridgett and John (Murphy), brothers: Frank and John (Junior) and sisters: Betty (Kilpatrick) and Joan (Healey). Leaving to mourn with love and special memories, daughters: Michelle (Rick Morgan), Patricia (Mike Reid) and Denise (Bern Hammond); son: Darries (Skip) (Ann); grandchildren: Stephanie, Steven, Danielle, Michael, Kimberley and Jason; very special brother: Ron (Lib Murphy) whose love, care and support was a continuous blessing to her, sister: Jessie (John Hayward, Florida); brother-in-law Gordon Healey; sisters-in-law Shirley Murphy and Mary Hurley as well as a large number of relatives and friends. A special thank you to her devoted friends Shirley Smith and Monica Layman for their special care and always being there. To her best buddy and lifeline Linda (Dan Meadus) whose friendship was straight from the heart. A big hug and thanks to her caregivers Paula, Josephine and Mabel. Special mention to Bonnie who developed a special caring bond with our mother, “Her Little Woman.” Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Monday and Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. from Mary Queen of the World Church. Interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation may be made in her memory to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation.
