I have lost my soul’s companion,
A life linked with my own,
And day by day I miss her more,
As I walk through life alone,
Calm and peaceful she is sleeping,
Sweetest rest that follows pain,
We who loved her, dearly miss her,
But trust in God to meet again.

Dearest Mom, I love you,
In a very special way,
If I could have one lifetime wish,
One dream that could come true,
I’d pray to God with all my heart,
For yesterday and you.

When days are dark, friends few,
Old Granny, dear, we think of you,
Friends are friends if they are true,
We lost our best when we lost you.
