McLEAN, Edith Noreen – 81 of the Shiretown Nursing Home, Pictou, passed away January 5, 2012 in the home.
Born in P.E.I., she was a daughter of the late Malcolm and Verna (Whitehead) Murray. She was a school teacher who taught in several schools over the years.
She is survived by brothers, John (Janet), Sackville, N.B. ; Richard (Sandra) Paradise N.L.; and George (Janet) Pictou; special friends, Linda Johnson, who helped so much over the years, Audrey MacLellan, both of Pictou; Betty Perry, Halifax; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother, Roderick; and sister in law, Janie. Cremation has taken place.
Visitation was 2-4 and 7-9 PM Sunday in the McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou, from where funeral service will be held at 11 AM today with Rev. Iona MacLean officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Seaview Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations may be made in her memory to a charity of your choice.
