Passed peacefully at the Hoyles Home on November 23, 2009, Cyril Bungay, retired sea captain, aged 88 years. Predeceased by his parents Henry and Edith; sisters: Carrie Templeman, Irene Carter and Norah Perry. Leaving to mourn his sons: Len (Theresa) of Admirals Beach, Cyril Jr. (Gladys) of Richmond, BC., Terry (Lori) of Goulds, Ivan Wayne of Burnaby, BC and Shawn (Laura) of Mt. Pearl; daughters: Shirley Taylor (Bill) of St. John’s and Kathy Bungay of Barry, Ont.; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends. A special thank you to the staff of the Hoyles Home for the excellent care and kindness to our father. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4:30 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from Barrett’s Chapel on Friday, November 27, 2009 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Mt.
