Passed peacefully away at the Hoyles Home on January 5, 2012. Hazel Stanley, aged 93 years. Predeceased by her husband Joseph, parents Richard and Isabelle Newell, sisters Maud Martin and Joyce Daniels, brothers Richard Newell, Stanley Newell, Fred Newell, Clarence Newell, as well as wonderful friend Walter Cook. Leaving to mourn daughters: Jane (Bob) Howell, Joyce (Will) Wells, and Dianne (John) Wells; sons: Richard (Ruth) Stanley and Ashton (Cavell) Stanley; sister Wesley Stanley; sisters-in-law: Evelyn Newell, Theresa Newell, and Florence Stanley; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home 328 Hamilton Ave., on Saturday, January 7 and Sunday, January 8, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Monday, January 9 from 10 a.m.-12 noon. Funeral service will be held from Wesley United Church on Monday, January 9, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
