Sandra Cormier passed away Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Capt. Joseph D. and Eileen (Brackett) Pottie.
A strong, brave wife and mother, she was lovingly devoted to her family. She will be missed.
She is survived by her husband, Rich; son, Craig; daughter, Trina (Chris Connors); sisters, Faye McIntosh, Dartmouth, Eileen (Wally) Forrester, Sydney, Jo-Anne Binns, Westmount; brother, Terry, Ontario; brothers-in-law, Chebot (Miriam), Antigonish, Dan (Linda), California, Babe (Allyson), Howie Centre, and Mike (Janet), California; aunt, Dorothy 'Dot' Purchase, Halifax; cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, godchildren, extended family and friends.
She was predeceased by brothers, Joey and Donnie, aunt, Wilhelmina 'Bill' Stephens, brother-in-law, Greg McIntosh.
Visitation at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel, today (Tuesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Church, East Bay, with Fr. Frank Abbass officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery.
Donations may be made to the East Bay Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
