Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre after a short illness on January 9, 2012, Evelyn Louise Hillier (nee Roberts) of St. John's (formerly of Whiteway), aged 80 years. Predeceased by infant daughter Helen Florence and husband William. Left with fond and loving memories daughter Glenda and son-in-law Tim Applin; son Boyd and daughter-in-law Valerie; granddaughter Amanda Applin (Sherman Kelly); grandsons: Mark Applin, Andrew and Nicholas Hillier; sisters: Velma Welsh, Rosalind (Rod) Hefford; brothers: Howard (Barb) Roberts, Orlando (Fran) Roberts, and Rex (Carolyn) Roberts; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Tuesday, January 10 and Wednesday, January 11 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will take place from St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church, Cornwall Crescent on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
