It is with sadness that the families of the late Raymond (Ray) Steward Pretty announce his passing on January 6, 2012 at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL at the age of 82 years. Ray is predeceased by parents, Adolphus and Ethel Pretty; and sister, Jennie. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Joy; sons, Glenn (Patricia) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, Greg (Jennifer) of Edmonton, AB; Geoff (Cindy) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL; daughter, Gena (Kevin) Norbury of Mississauga, ON; grandchildren, Jason, Jordan, Luke, Tessa, Stefanie, Shelley; great-grandson, Tristan; sister Elsie; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The visitation took place Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 7-9 pm, Sunday, January 8, 2012 at 2-4 and 7-9 pm from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. The funeral service was held Monday January 9, 2012 at 2 pm from the Salvation Army Citadel, Circular Road, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL with Major Terry Hopkins officiating. Pallbearers were Glenn Pretty, Geoffrey Pretty, Gregory Pretty, Jason Pretty, Stefanie Pretty, Shelley Pretty, and Jordan Pretty.
