DYKEMAN, CONSTANCE (CONNIE) IRENE – The death of Connie Dykeman occurred on Monday, January 9, 2012 at the Kingsway Care Centre after a period of failing health. She was born on July 12, 1920 in Fairvale to the late Herbert and J. Agnes (Smith) Dykeman. Connie worked many years as a secretary for Lloyds Register Shipping. She was an avid gardener even in her later years. Connie is survived by her friend and caregiver, Tara and other special friends and relatives. She was predeceased by her parents and sister, Norma. Connie was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). The Funeral Service will be held from St. Luke’s Church, Gondola Point on Thursday January 12, 2012 at 11 AM. Interment will take place in St. Luke’s Cemetery, Gondola Point at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
