Cameron, F. Agnes(Tanner), 87 of the Little Harbour Road Seniors, New Glasgow passed away January 6, 2012 in the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital.
Born in MacLellan’s Brook she was a daughter of the late George Alexander and Elizabeth (Wallace/Neath)Tanner.
Up to her retirement, Agnes had been employed with Zellers and Nitro/Shaw Fuels. Her favorite pastimes were fishing, knitting and crafting.
She is survived by daughters, Valarie Lee Rye, Halifax; Dee(Fred)Avery, New Glasgow; grandchildren, William(Holly)Rye, Halifax; Tara Lee Rye, Halifax; John Avery(Tammy Ross), New Glasgow; Nina Avery(Paul Totten), New Glasgow; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Rye, Halifax; and Sean Cyr, Pictou County; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Earl Thomas Cameron, sisters Vida, Betty, Vivian, Marion, Dorothy, Elma and Margaret, brothers Keith and Henry, great-granddaughter Cathy Lee Avery, son-in-law William F. Rye.
Cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will be held 1pm Saturday January 14, 2012 from the First Presbyterian Church, New Glasgow with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson presiding. A reception will follow in the church hall followed by burial of ashes in the Hillside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Agnes may be made to the Palliative Care Society of the Aberdeen Hospital or to the First Presbyterian Church, New Glasgow.
