JORDAN, JANICE - Janice Anita Jordan (nee Brien), age 72, of Lindsay, Ontario, passed away on December 17, 2011 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. Predeceased by parents Vernon R. and Gladys P. Brien of Saint John, N.B. Jan was born in Saint John and attended schools in Fredericton and Saint John. A graduate from Saint John High School, she also attended Mount Allison University and Saint John School of Nursing. On her marriage to the late Robert J. Wilson, the couple moved to Ontario. Jan owned and operated Kent Bookstore in Lindsay with her daughter Cheri. Prior to remarriage, she was the original owner of the Country Corner Restaurant in Millbrook, Ontario. Jan is survived by three children: Cheri Hogg (Greg) of Millbrook; James Wilson (Christina) of Trumansburg, NY; and Michelle Gilreath (Todd) of Seymour, TN. and by six grandchildren. Sister to Douglas (Margo) Brien and Alfred (Kathie) Brien of Saint John, N.B. Jan will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, extended family and beloved friends.
A celebration of Janice's life will be held January 28, 2012 at Benson Funeral Home, Millbrook.
